#Last Christmas Deleted Scene: Emilia Clarke Has An Audition [EXCLUSIVE] -BB

An exclusive Last Christmas deleted scene shows Emilia Clarke’s Kate trying to get her boss „Santa“ (Michelle Yeoh) to let her skip work for an audition for Frozen On Ice. Released back in November, Last Christmas is a rom-com about Kate, a young woman whose life is a mess (due to a combination of bad luck and poor choices) when she meets Henry Golding’s Tom, a kindly man who challenges her cynical outlook towards the world. The film was directed by Paul Feig and written by playwright Bryony Kimmings and Emma Thompson, based on an original story Thompson and Greg Wise came up with.

After earning more than $121 million at the worldwide box office, Last Christmas is now available to watch at home. The film hit Digital on January 21 and will arrive on DVD and Blu-ray in a few weeks on February 4. Universaly is currently promoting Last Christmas‚ home media release, which will naturally include special features like deleted scenes from the film. One of those sequences is available online, as of today.

Screen Rant is exclusively debuting said deleted scene from Last Christmas, showing Kate trying to butter up her boss (who goes by „Santa“) at the year-round winter holiday store in Central London where she works as an elf. You can check it out in the space below.

The scene highlights Kate’s desire to become a performer in the film, despite having fallen gravely ill and very nearly died a year earlier. Music, specifically the work of George Michael, informs much of the movie beyond Kate’s wish to pursue a career as a professional singer. Last Christmas of course gets its title from the Michael song of the same name, but also features his music throughout its runtime. It even touches on some of the social issues that were important to the late singer (who gave his blessing to the movie before his passing in December 2016), specifically that of homelessness. When Kate first meets Tom, she learns he volunteers at a local homeless shelter.

In addition to deletes scenes like the one shown here, Last Christmas‚ home release includes supplemental features like the customary blooper reel, along with an alternate opening and ending, and multiple featurettes that go behind the scenes of the making of the movie. Among those are „A Legacy Revealed“, which will explore how the song „Last Christmas“ inspired the film. You can read through the complete list of bonus features below (which are now available on Digital and with the Blu-ray and DVD on February 4).
