Death Note Fragrance Line Has an Aroma of Mystery

Primaniacs, those specialists in anime-inspired fragrances, are apparently as excited about Death Note as we are! Six new fragrances are going on sale based on the series, each inspired by one of its lead characters and packaged in a fancy bottle and box.

Up for grabs in the new line are:

Light Yagami: Top notes of bergamot, coriander, and clary sage, with undertones of patchouli and musk. A scent for a proper young man, but with a constant undertone of darkness.

Ryuk: Top notes of apple and bergamot, with mid-notes of mimosa and cedarwood and a musk undertone. Bright and friendly with hidden dark notes.

L: Cotton flower and ozone with notes of white rose, gardenia, and amber. A sweet, calm scent that dissolves like mist.

Misa Amane: Berries and fruit, with a hint of jasmine and macaron. A feminine fragrance reminiscent of an innocent smile.

Near: Bergamot and watery notes, with undertones of cedar and pine. A calm, elusive fragrance, like a single cloud in the morning sky.

Mello: Citrus top notes with mid-tones of black chocolate and pepper, finishing with vanilla and musk. A bold, dangerous scent.

Each 30ml bottle is 5,958 yen, and comes in a collectible box. The scents will be available starting January 23 at the Primaniacs store in Ginza.
