“#5-year-old dies after being run over by a lawn mower”

A 5-year-old child was killed in a lawnmower accident in upstate New York when they were tossed from the machine, police said.

New York State police said the kid was riding on the mower without an adult 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when they fell in Conewango, which is about 50 miles south of Buffalo.
The lawnmower then drove over the child, causing severe injuries, police said.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene and an investigation was launched into the incident, police said.
Police didn’t say whether any charges will be filed in the incident.
