#Watch Ric Wilson’s Video for New Song “Trunk Music”

Chicago’s Ric Wilson is back with a new song called “Trunk Music” and its accompanying video. The new song follows “Fight Like Ida B and Marsha P,” and it was given a live debut at Pitchfork Music Festival 2019. Watch the new song’s video, directed by A Solo Vision​ and ​Mauricio Reyes, below.

“​I wrote this song two years ago and shot this video one year ago,​” Wilson said in a statement. “When I heard this beat my cousin made, it reminded me of seeing Grand Prix on southside blocks as a shorty and hearing the loud music coming from sound systems. Just like those boomin trunks, we are rebellious, we are loud, and we don’t need to be understood​.”

Earlier this year, Ric Wilson and Terrace Martin released the collaborative They Call Me Disco EP.
