A disturbed man jumped into the Hudson from Pier 84 Tuesday afternoon — telling responders he had wanted to be a Marine, police sources said.

The man, whose name was not known, leapt from Pier 84 at W. 44th Street and 12th Avenue just before 2 p.m., according to sources.

Authorities pulled the man from the water and took him to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation, sources said.
