The TV anime adaptation of A Star Brighter Than The Sun has received a teaser trailer and teaser visual, as well as an October 2025 premiere window.
The show’s main cast and staff were also revealed. A Star Brighter Than The Sun is a Studio KAI production with Aya Kobayashi as director and Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun) as series composer. The lead actors are Minori Fujidera as Sae Iwata and Yuki Ono as Koki Kamishiro.
A Star Brighter Than The Sun (Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi) is based on the manga by Kazune Kawahara, which depicts a “first love story” between the taller-than-average Sae and the popular Koki. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret in 2021 and will release its 11th tankoubon volume on April 24, 2025 JST.
