The new subscription will cost $7 a month.

AlphaTheta, the company behind Pioneer DJ and rekordbox, launched Studio Plan today. The $7-a-month subscription bundles the DAW Bitwig Studio Essentials with rekordbox integration, so DJs can edit, remix, and produce using the tracks already in their libraries. The plan is available now with a 30-day free trial.
With Studio Plan, DJs can browse their rekordbox collection inside Bitwig and open a track directly into a project. BPM, key, hot cue points, and vocal positions carry over automatically. In practice, hot cues that a DJ has set for live sets can become ready-made edit points, making it easier to layer in harmonically compatible parts.
Bitwig Studio Essentials ships with 40 instruments and effects, plus 10 modulators. AlphaTheta is also promoting stem separation, which splits a track into vocals, drums, bass, and other parts for remixing. That feature isn’t available at launch, though. The company says stem support will arrive in a future update.
Studio Plan runs separately from rekordbox’s existing subscription tiers (Free, Core, Creative, Professional, and Cloud Option), so it can be bought on its own or added to a current plan. Licenses are managed through a new app called Studio License Manager. After the trial ends, users can keep running Bitwig Studio in a feature-limited demo mode.
The launch comes as DJ software companies push their users toward production. AlphaTheta says the Bitwig deal is part of a broader push into partnerships aimed at DJs and producers, so more integrations look likely.
