Entertainment company DeNA has announced a partnership with anime production studio E&H production, which involves the research and development of digital transformation technology pertaining to the anime production process.
One of these technologies is a “Simple Compositing Tool” that seeks to improve the efficiency and quality of video storyboards and video editing. DeNA says that it plans to begin tests in October.
The considered development scope also covers the automatic generation of rough drawings and skeletal animation, attempts to make the second key animation process less strenuous and improve the results, and more. The “more” includes technology related to things like the generation of movement for generic characters and background art production.
E&H production is a young studio founded by Sunghoo Park (Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and Ninja Kamui director) in 2021. Meanwhile, DeNA was founded in 1999 and is currently involved in multiple fields, including games, healthcare, and sports.
