Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will launch on October 22 or $49.99, developer Inti Creates announced. Users who own the Switch version will be able to upgrade via a $10 “Upgrade Pack.”
Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced first launched for PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC via Steam on July 24, 2025.
In Japan, Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available both physically and digitally. The digital edition will cost 6,480 yen, while the physical edition will cost 7,590 yen. A limited edition will be available for 16,280 yen, which includes an A4-size “Official Complete Works” art book and an eight-disc soundtrack set. Pre-orders for the physical edition include an A4-size clear file.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced is a collection of three traditional 2D action platformers, Azure Striker Gunvolt (2014), Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (2016), and Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 (2022) together in one release, complete with all previously released downloadable content.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition adds not only support for high frame rate and resolution displays, but a new story mode called “Azure Striker Gunvolt GX.” Players will control a tag-team duo of Gunvolt and Copen with new weapons and abilities. It also features a new “Inspiration” system, encouraging players to swap between the two heroes at the right time to activate gameplay and score bonuses.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition adds a new thrilling story mode, “Azure Striker Gunvolt GX.” After a mysterious resonance send the Luminous Avenger iX to another world, he’ll team up with Gunvolt to fight side-by-side, forming a tag-team of legends!
“Azure Striker Gunvolt GX” is a full-fledged story mode, with fully voiced dialogue in English and Japanese, “live novels” that advance the story without stopping the action, and new weapons and skills for the two heroes.
The “Inspiration” system will encourage full use of both characters, giving the players powerful boosts to their skills and score for swapping characters at the right time!
“Azure Striker Gunvolt GX” will be included as part of the Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. The “Azure Striker Gunvolt GX” story downloadable content is also planned for the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of the Trilogy Enhanced. Owners of the Nintendo Switch 1 version can purchase the Upgrade Pack to access it on the Switch 2.
