#’Big Mac rat’ braves traffic for beef patties, special sauce

Not even rats can resist those “two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions — on a sesame seed bun.”

One such rodent was spotted on a busy UK highway dragging an entire Big Mac box across the road — dodging vehicles as it played its own version of fast-food Frogger.

In a now-viral video captured by a truck driver identified only as Chris, according to News Dog Media, the newly christened “Big Mac rat” was no bigger than the box itself — which may or may not have contained an actual cheeseburger.

The scamp managed to haul the carton over the tall curb without losing its grip, but disappears from the frame once he finally makes it to the other side of the road — evidently spooked as he runs to hide in the brush.

It is unknown if the “Big Mac rat” even had the chance to eat his hard-earned drive-thru snack.

However, the recklessly ravenous rat in South Yorkshire is already drawing comparisons to New York City’s legendary “pizza rat” of 2015, whose fame would manifest in the form of toys, fashion and even a minor league baseball team (albeit, only briefly).

Trucker Chris told News Dog Media that a peckish crow had already enjoyed the last of the fries from the McDonald’s combo before the rat could have a share.

“He’s ‘lovin’ it’,” said one viewer on TikTok, where more than 3 million have watched the clip.
