“#Black Lotus Announces Cast, Staff, And Sneak Preview”
Crunchyroll and Adult Swim revealed the Blade Runner: Black Lotus character cast, staff, and an upcoming sneak preview scheduled for July 23 at the online Comic-Con@Home 2021 panel. The Adult Swim and Crunchyroll Original series is inspired by the Blade Runner movie franchise, and is slated for release this year.
Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama are directing the series, with Shinichiro Watanabe as creative producer, Wes Gleason as voice director, and Joseph Chou as executive producer. Alcon Entertainment and Sola Digital Arts are producing the series.

The Japanese cast includes Arisa Shida as Elle, a created female replicant; Shinshu Fuji as Joseph, a mysterious spare parts junkyard owner; Takako Honda as Alani Davis, a fresh LAPD recruit; Takaya Hashi as Niander Wallace Sr, founder and CEO of the Wallace Corporation; Takehito Koyasu as Niander Wallace Jr, a brilliant scientist working for his father; Taiten Kusunoki as Marlowe, a Blade Runner; Yoshiko Sakakibara as Josephine Grant; Hōchū Ōtsuka as Earl Grant; Takayuki Kinba as Doc Badger; Masane Tsukayama as Senator Bannister; Akio Nojima as Doctor M; and Kazuki Yao as Hooper.
The English cast features Jessica Henwick as Elle, Will Yun Lee as Joseph, Samira Wiley as Alani Davis, Brian Cox as Niander Wallace Sr, Wes Bentley as Niander Wallace Jr, Josh Duhamel as Marlowe, Peyton List as Josephine Grant, Stephen Root as Earl Grant, Barkhad Abdi as Doc Badger, Gregg Henry as Senator Bannister, Henry Czerny as Doctor M, and Jason Spisak as Hooper.
The sneak preview panel is slated for July 23 at 5:00 PM (PST), with both co-directors Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama, executive producer Joseph Chou, voice director Wes Gleason, and the English voice actress for Elle, Jessica Henwick, making an appearance at the panel. Jason DeMarco, the co-creator of Toonami and senior vice-president and creative director for Adult Swim, will be moderating the panel.
Crunchyroll will stream the series in Japanese, while the English dub will air on Toonami. Both platforms will offer the series to viewers worldwide outside of Asia.
