#Bryson DeChambeau outlines his 2020 Masters approach hole-by-hole

Here is a look, in Bryson DeChambeau’s words, at the approach clubs he’s hitting to certain holes at Augusta National after bombing his driver off the tee:

No. 1 (445-yard par-4): “If I hit it in the fairway, I can have a 70-yard, 60-yard shot.’’

No. 2 (575-yard par-5): “I think I had 7-iron in the other day [to get on in two].’’

No. 3 (350-yard par-4): “I can get to the green [off the tee].’’

No. 5 (495-yard par-4): “I had 8-iron in. … It was into the wind.’’

No. 7 (450-yard par-4): “That’s a wedge shot … into the wind.’’

No. 8 (570-yard par-5): “I’ve hit as little as 6-iron in [to get on in two].’’

No. 9 (460-yard par-4): “It’s a 53- to 48-degree [wedge] for me.’’

No. 10 (495-yard par-4): “It’s a 9 iron at worst.’’

No. 11 (505-yard par-4): “[Monday] with Tiger [Woods] and Freddie [Couples] and J.T. [Justin Thomas], I had pitching wedge in. I asked Tiger, ‘What did you hit in in ‘97?’

And he goes, ‘Pitching wedge.’ I’m like, ‘That’s cool, all right.’ ’’

No. 13 (510-yard par-5): “I had pitching wedge in [to get on in two]. I cut the corner drastically. That’s one of those where you do cut it over and you can hit it high enough and draw enough, you can gain a pretty big advantage there.’’

No. 15: (530-yard par-5): “8 iron.’’

No. 17 (440-yard par-4): “Into the wind, I hit 8 iron.’’

No. 18 (465-yard par-4): “I hit it over the bunker [on the left side of the fairway] … you can have 110 yards into the green.’’
