A Chinese man miraculously survived being struck in the chest with a crossbow — just a hair away from his heart, according to a report.

Xiao Peng was accidentally shot by the arrow launched from a crossbow set up at his house June 6 in the city of Nanning, Newsflare reported.

Video showed Xiao standing calmly with the bolt lodged into his chest less than half an inch away from his heart, as others gathered around him, the outlet said.

He was brought to the hospital, where he underwent an hour-long surgery to remove the arrow, the outlet reported.

Xiao, who is now recovering, said he had bought the crossbow and arrow online to play with at home before the accident, according to the report.
