“DJ Khaled Unveils Latest Air Jordan Collaboration – & Kanye West Approves”
For someone who has no business being on a basketball court, Khaled has enjoyed a fruitful relationship with Jordan Brand for years and their partnership will grow even further with the latest We The Best collection, which includes sneakers, an apparel line, and Friends and Family exclusives.
The Air Jordan 5’s come in salmon pink, off-white, teal, and purple. “We The Best” is inscribed on the back heel where “Nike Air” is placed on the limited-edition pairs, which look to be for just Friends and Family.
The Miami-based producer also showed a clip of him getting the Kanye West stamp of approval on the kicks after showing him some sample pairs earlier this year when Ye paid a visit to the 305 to work on music with Khaled and spend a morning at his estate.
“I like the colors for Miami,” Ye said. “Oh, them joints is pretty too. The colors are great, I like the tones and shit.”
Khaled brought out the Jordan 5’s to match his salmon suit on Monday (April 11) as he will be honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with his very own star.
Look for the sneakers and a new album from DJ Khaled to arrive at some point later in 2022.
