Following multiple teaser trailers and teaser visuaks, next month’s Expelled from Paradise: Resonance has received a two-minute main trailer and a key visual. The former contains yet more new footage as well as a preview of the movie’s newly announced theme song “Beyond the Night” by TeddyLoid featuring Ayane Sakura (as her Expelled from Paradise: Resonance character Gabriel) and Nogizaka46’s Nagi Inoue,
The song is set to be released digitally on November 11, with a CD release to follow on November 18.
Expelled from Paradise: Resonance (Rakuen Tsuiho -Kokoro no Resonance-) is a sequel to 2014’s Expelled from Paradise. In the first film, the virtual society DEVA sends Agent Angela Balzac down to a ruined Earth in a physical body following an infiltration by a hacker, but Angela eventually rebels after certain discoveries and developments. Resonance will see multiple other Agents, including Gabriel, coming to Earth to investigate a faction called the Fallen, which arose out of Angela’s actions.
Like before, Expelled from Paradise: Resonance is directed by Seiji Mizushima (Beatless, Mobile Suit Gundam 00), written by NITROPLUS’ Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero light novel author), and features character designs by Masatsugu Saito (Cyborg 009: Call of Justice). However, the animation production studio is Toei Animation instead of Graphinica.
The cast includes, aside from Sakura, Saori Hayami as Arma, Yoshino Aoyama as Daniel, Sally Amaki as Raguel, and Sumire Morohoshi as Penem.
Expelled from Paradise: Resonance will begin screening in Japan on November 13. Later that month, on November 26, a visual novel Expelled from Paradise -The Stellar Angel- will launch globally on Steam.
