Expelled from Paradise -The Stellar Angel- Sequel Visual Novel Will Be on Steam, Switch With English Support

The previously announced Expelled from Paradise game has gotten a title and platform availability details. It’s called Expelled from Paradise -The Stellar Angel-, and it’ll be out on Steam and Nintendo Switch globally with English support.

Also revealed was that the game will be a visual novel, and that it is a sequel “depicting the aftermath” of 2014’s Expelled from Paradise anime film. The movie’s main characters, Angela Balzac and Dingo, appear to be returning, and the game is described to be “full-scale visual novel that weaves a grand sci-fi vision through evocative text and immersive direction.”

Studio51 is developing it with TOEI ANIMATION handling the publishing.

In late March, it was announced that an Expelled from Paradise game would be released in winter 2026. That period also saw the release of a new teaser trailer and visual for the new Expelled from Paradise anime movie, Expelled from Paradise: Resonance (Rakuen Tsuiho -Kokoro no Resonance-), which is set to begin screening in Japan on November 13, 2026.

In the future setting of Expelled from Paradise, most of mankind has become digitized and reside in a virtual society of DEVA. The first movie saw Angela, a DEVA Agent, descending to a ruined Earth in a physical body after a hacker infiltrates this supposed paradise. In the sequel movie, a group of DEVA agents will come to Earth to deal with a deserter faction called the Fallen, whose existence is linked to the events of the first film and Angela’s rebellion against DEVA.
