The Hyakki Yakusho manga by Ichiko Ima is inspiring a TV anime adaptation, which will start in April.
The manga sees protagonist Maritsu inheriting the ability to see yokai from late grandfather.
Hyakki Yakusho began in 1995 and will get its 32nd volume on April 7. It currently runs in Asahi Shimbun Publications’ Nemuki+, a successor to Nemuki that launched in 2013.
