The original TV anime series, Inherit the Winds, has revealed its main cast and first trailer. No premiere date has been set as of this writing.
Daisuke Sakuma, a member of J-pop boy group Snow Man, will voice the amnesiac main character, Jinsuke Tachikawa. Yuki Kaji will voice Soji Okita, a member of the Shinsengumi. Aoi Yuki will voice Kogane Hyougo, another member of the Shinsengumi.
Inherit the Winds was first announced during the Aniplex Online Fest with a teaser trailer. It will be co-produced by Live2D Creative Studio and Drive. Tomohiro Kawamura (Air Bound) is directing the series. It’s inspired by the Jinsuke Tachikawa stage play series by Yutaka Narui, who is also in charge of writing the script for the series.
It follows Jinsuke Tachikawa, an amnesiac samurai during the Edo period, a time of unrest in Japan, as he regains his memories and faces major consequences. He was brought into the Shinsengumi, whose presence suddenly increased during the chaos, by Soji Okita, and became a member of the group.
