A third trailer and a key visual for the Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen TV anime have been released. The anime had its July 4 broadcast start date revealed last month.
Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen is based on the manga by Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan’s Hiroshi Shibashi. One of the core characters, Kodo Iwamoto, attends a middle school under the army’s control during the early 20th century and investigates supernatural phenomena around the country under orders. To the special-powered individuals he encounters, iwamoto offers a letter of recommendation for the school.

Toshifumi Kawase (Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin Ga Ii) is directing the anime at Studio Deen with character designs from Atsuko Nakajima (Komi Can’t Communicate, Ranma1/2 remake). Taito Ban is the voice of Kodo Iwamoto.
The Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen manga began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen magazine Ultra Jump in 2021 and will get its 17th volume on July 17, 2026. Iwamoto-senpai no Suisen was originally a one-shot.
