Japanese virtual artist KAF has released a new English version of her single titled “EAT THE PAST (English Ver.), which is now available on several music streaming platforms.
KAF performed the English version of “EAT THE PAST” in Chicago during her first North American show at Anime Central on May 17, 2025.
Originally released in 2019, the song is described as KAF “confronting her personal history and devouring it in a way so that she can move forward into the future.” A music video of the song’s Japanese version was also released. Iori Kanzaki is credited with the song’s original lyrics, music, and arrangement.
KAF has also been announced to be contributing an image song for the character Trigger from the free-to-play action RPG Zenless Zone Zero.
The artist’s recent album, Fable, was released on Bandcamp on December 25, 2024. She has been signed and managed under Tokyo-based Kamitsubaki Studio, which is described as “a creative label and new-age artist management” company that has been involved in the “development of artists, original stories, future XR experiences, and metaverse development.”
KAF will also voice a character based on her persona in the upcoming Kamitsubaki City Under Construction TV anime series, which will premiere in Japan on July 3, 2025.
