A new trailer, key visual, and main theme songs have been revealed for the upcoming Let’s Go Kaikigumi TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan on July 5, 2026.
The main theme songs for Let’s Go Kaikigumi include the opening theme “Kimi ga Waruin dakara nee” by Japanese girl group SWEET STEADY, which is highlighted in the trailer. Meanwhile, the ending theme is “Norowa shite ne?” by YouTuber uketsu (author of Strange Houses and Strange Pictures), whose involvement in the series was announced earlier this past March.
In addition, voice actress Kana Hanazawa is also joining the anime’s voice cast as the Yuki-onna character, Yukinko. She most recently voiced the main heroine, Rinko Nakama, from Pardon the Intrusion, I’m Home! TV anime series.
She joins a previously announced voice cast that will star:
- • Tasuku Hatanaka as Protagonist
- • Ruriko Aoki as Mechako
- • Mayumi Shintani as Noroi no Ningyo
- • Yoshino Aoyama as Shurako
- • Yuki Sakakihara as Doppelganger
- • Shigeru Chiba as Narrator
Yutaka Hirata, who previously directed episodes such as PSYCHO PASS episode 16 and Golden Kamuy Season 3 episode 12, is directing the anime series, with Yoshimitsu Yamashita (HAKYU HOSHIN ENGI) as character designer and Mutsumi Ito (Room Camp) as series composer and scriptwriter. C-Station is handling the animation production.
The comedy horror manga series by View was serialized on Burg Hamburg Burg’s Omocoro website from July 19, 2018 to July 12, 2024. Shogakukan published the manga in print and has released five total tankobon volumes.
A “new series” related to Let’s Go Kaikigumi was announced for serialization on Omocoro in October 2025.
Let’s Go Kaikigumi follows an unnamed protagonist, who becomes involved with an organization associated with the paranormal after meeting their leader, Mechako. The only problem is that the protagonist is extremely frightened of such things.
