A 40-year-old died Thursday after being shot twice in the neck in an apparently targeted broad-daylight slaying in the Bronx, police said.

The gunfire broke out at the corner E. 225 Street and White Plains Road in Wakefield around 11 a.m. when an unknown triggerman got out of a car, walked up to the victim and shot him twice, according to police.

The gunman jumped back in the car, believed to be a black BMW, and took off, cops said.

EMS rushed the 40-year-old, whose name was not released pending notification of family, to Jacobi Hospital but he could not be saved.

There were no arrests.
