#Marijuana ‘grow house’ may have sparked NYC fire: officials

An alleged marijuana grow house went up in smoke in Brooklyn, officials said.

The apparent pot producing operation was found after fire broke out at 3232 Fulton Street in Cypress Hills Saturday morning, in a retail corridor under the J/Z subway tracks.

A forest of mature marijuana plants could be seen through the building’s broken out windows, photos of the scene show. The plants were surrounded by commercial-grade lighting and fans.

It took more than 100 firefighters and EMS less than two hours to put the fire out, which began on the first floor where the marijuana was found. No injuries were reported.

Fire marshals and police are investigating the blaze.
