The upcoming second cour of Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation has received its second trailer, which previews the continuation of Rudeus’ adventure and the theme song “Keishou no Uta” by Yuiko Ōhara.
The show is set to premiere in Japan on October 3.
Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation is based on a light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote with illustrations from Shirotaka, which began in 2014 and has 24 volumes as of December 2020. The story began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2012, with the web novel ending in 2015.
The story follows a 34-year-old man who is killed after trying to save someone from getting hit by a car. He soon finds himself reincarnated in a magical world as Rudeus Greyrat, except that he gets his whole life reset, starting as a baby.
With all of his knowledge from his previous life, and a new heaping helping of magical ability, Rudeus quickly becomes a formidable warrior ready for adventure. Oh, and he’s still a total pervert.
The second cour’s staff includes Manabu Okamoto (Gamers! director) as director and series composer, Hiroki Hirano (Sword Art Online: Alicization storyboarder) as assistant director, and Kazutaka Sugiyama (Her Blue Sky co-animation director) and Mizuki Takahashi (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan co-character designer) as character designers.
Other staff members include Yoshiko Saitō (Super Cub chief animation director) as sub-character designer, Masakazu Miyake (ID:INVADED) as art director, Makiko Doi (Fate/Apocrypha) as color designer, Shinji Tonsho (Stars Align) as photography director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Love Live! Superstar!!) as music composer. Studio Bind is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Yumi Uchiyama as Rudeus Greyrat, Tomokazu Sugita as Rudeus Greyrat’s former self, Konomi Kohara as Roxy Migurdia, Ai Kakuma as Eris Boreas Greyrat, Daisuke Namikawa as Ruijerd, Rie Tanaka as Elinalise Dragonroad, Hōchū Ōtsuka as Talhand, Yuka Iguchi as Kishirika, Kenjiro Tsuda as Orsted, and Kujira as Hitokami
