A Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 visual depicting an assured-looking Eris has been released. The accompanying caption mentions that the season will open with the “Eris Training Arc” (Eris Shugyo-hen).
Mushoku Tensei Season 3 is set to begin airing on July 5 at 24:00 JST (effectively July 6 at 00:00 JST) and will stream on Crunchyroll. The anime is based on the KADOKAWA-published isekai light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the light novels’ synopsis as such:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
Ryosuke Shibuya (reprising from Season 2 cour 2) is directing the anime Studio Bind. The cast includes Ai Kakuma as Eris Boreas Greyrat, Haruka Tomatsu as Nina Farion, Yumi Uchiyama as Rudeus Greyrat, and Tomokazu Sugita as Rudeus’ past life.
The anime’s first season premiered in 2021, with Season 2 following in 2023. Both seasons were broadcast across two split cours. Season 1, Season 2 Cour 1, and Season 2 Cour 2 had different directors.
The light novel series, which is published under the MF Books label/imprint associated with KADOKAWA’s Media Factory brand, ran from 2014 to 2022 with 26 volumes and has inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The Mushoku Tensei story began in 2012 as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel.
