A man was arrested while walking through the Bronx on Thursday while carrying a grenade launcher and wearing a bulletproof vest, sources said.
The suspect was walking near Andrews Avenue and 179th Street in University Heights when police from the 46th Precinct spotted the weapon strapped to his back, according to police sources.
Cops obtained a warrant to search the man’s home on Andrews Avenue.
The suspect was in custody on Thursday night. Charges against him were pending.
