“NYPD arrest 68-year-old man who stabbed elderly wife in NYC”
A husband stabbed his elderly wife to death in their Upper Manhattan apartment on Friday night, cops said.
The 68-year-old man was arrested after police found his 79-year-old wife with multiple stab wounds to her torso inside the apartment at 615 West 144 Street in Hamilton Heights just after 10:15 p.m., police said.
The woman was found “unconscious and unresponsive” in the bedroom, according to the NYPD. EMS transported her to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Two knives were recovered at the scene, according to police.
The husband was taken into police custody and charges against him were pending, cops said.
