Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, the documentary charting Liam and Noel Gallagher’s Live ’25 reunion tour, will receive its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. Directed by Steven Knight, the film includes rehearsal, backstage footage, and interviews of the bothers’ reflecting on their long-lasting feud.
An exact premiere date has not been announced, but the film will screen sometime during the festival’s run happening September 2 through September 12. Festival curator Alberto Barbera confirmed that both brothers have committed to attending. The documentary will get a wider release on September 9 in select IMAX and U.K. cinemas, and internationally in theaters on September 11.
The first teaser released on July 4, fittingly, with Noel on tape saying he could not picture himself back onstage with his brother. Live ’25 was the first time the brothers had shared a stage since Oasis split in 2009. Noel quit the band after a backstage fight with Liam ahead of a Rock en Seine set in Paris, and the two spent the next 15 years trading insults through interviews and social media while building separate careers.
The film opens in select IMAX theaters and cinemas on September 11 before streaming exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S. later this year.
