The hotly debated Netflix re-synch of “One Piece” is now here!
The streamer published today Netflix the first 16 episodes of “One Piece” in several countries including in German. Due to Toei Animation’s specifications, this is based more closely on the Japanese original compared to the well-known TV dubbing. In this new synchro it is called “Luffy” instead of “Luffy”, “Ussopp” instead of “Ussopp” or “Roronoa Zoro” instead of “Roronoa Zoro”. For fans, a big break from the well-known German translation of manga and anime. As a downer, many of the old voices from the original dub can also be heard in the new dub.
