Origin Launches on January 28, 2026

A January 28, 2026 release date has been revealed for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, Netmarble‘s free-to-play open world game based on The Seven Deadly Sins series created by Nakaba Suzuki.

The upcoming RPG also received two trailers, an action-focused one for Tokyo Game Show 2025 and another for Sony’s State of Play 2025. Some of the features highlighted or shown in the latter include fishing, cooking, and crafting.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is coming to PlayStation 5, Steam, App Store, and Google Play. Closed Beta Test registrations and mobile pre-registrations have been ongoing, with the pre-registration rewards including the fairy/giant hybrid character Tioreh.

The game, which was announced back in 2022 and is made in Unreal Engine 5, will feature a “multiversal crisis” that Tristan, the son of The Seven Deadly Sins‘ Meliodas and Diana and one of the titular knights in the sequel The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights Of The Apocalypse, has to solve. Beyond real-time combat and multiple biomes, the experience promises up-to-five-player co-op dungeons, puzzles and “environmental riddles,” creature catching, “shifting weather,” and world bosses.

Netmarble subsidiary Netmarble F&C is developing The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.
