Vertex Force, the original anime with “cute girls” and “mechanical” elements that was announced in March, has received a teaser trailer and an October broadcast start window. The teaser sees the protagonist, who seems to know karate, dealing with a mechanical foe by summoning a mech, whose movements mirror her own.
The protagonist is named Haruka Todo, and she’s a 16-year-old who lives in Okinawa. Also revealed were a teaser visual with a silver-haired woman, as well as the main staff apart from Strike Witch‘s Kazuhiro Takamura, who was already announced as director. Some of the names include:
• Assistant director: Goro Kuji
• Engine designer: Kanetake Ebikawa (co-mechanical designer for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury and the upcoming Expelled from Paradise: Resonance)
• ENIA designer: JNTHED (Urusei Yatsura remake and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury co-mechanical designer, Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops co-mech designer)
• Series composer: Kazuhiro Takamura
• Series composer: Masashi Suzuki (Plunderer)
• CG director: Hiroyuki Tadokoro
