“#Over a million people have registered to vote on Snapchat: report”

That total is more than double the amount of voters it helped register in the midterm elections of 2018, Axios reported.
And more than half of those who registered — 56 percent — are first-time voters.
A Snapchat spokesperson told the outlet that about 4.75 million of its users in the US over 18 found the voter engagement tools through exchanges with friends — and of those, about 3 million were between the ages of 18 and 24.
Snapchat rolled out a number of voting tools in September to help its users vote in November.
“Voter Registration Mini” allows voters to register on the app and includes a feature to track how many have registered.
It also launched a “Voter Guide” that provides information about voting by mail and voter registration and includes resources from groups like the NAACP, BallotReady and DemocracyWorks.
Snapchat also has a “Mini” feature that, working with BallotReady, helps users learn about voting options and encourages them to make a plan to vote.
