Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has announced a Japanese-language-only SKU for PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. It will launch on November 21 for 55,000 (tax included), with pre-orders opening on November 13.
The existing all-languages SKU for PlayStation 5 in Japan is currently priced at 72,980 yen, meaning the Japanese-language SKU is 17,980 yen cheaper, and only 5,020 yen more expensive than the Japanese-language SKU for Switch 2.
The Japanese-language PlayStation 5 can only be used with PlayStation Network accounts registered in Japan, and the system language can only be set to Japanese.
