“#Reincarnated as a Sword Reveals Main Cast and Character Designs”
The upcoming Reincarnated as a Sword anime has revealed its main cast and character designs. Shin-ichiro Miki is voicing Master, the titular sword character, while Ai Kakuma is voicing Fran.
Reincarnated as a Sword is based on the light novel series written by Yuu Tanaka and illustrated by Rurou. The books began in 2016 and have 12 volumes as of September 2021.
Seven Seas Entertainment describes the story as:
Reincarnated as a sentient weapon with memories of his past life, but not his name, a magical sword saves a young beastgirl from a life of slavery. Fran, the cat-eared girl, becomes his wielder, and wants only to grow stronger, while the sword wants to know why he is here. Together, the strange duo’s journey has only just begun!
The series has inspired a manga adaptation and a manga spin-off in addition to the anime. The story first began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou.
