A trailer for Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World Season 4’s “The Recapture Arc” has been released, a week before the arc begins airing on August 12. Confrontations with the Gluttony siblings, as well as a portion of the song “Ender Ember” by MYTH & ROID feat. TK from Ling Tosite Sigure, are among the preview’s offerings.
“The Recapture Arc” is the second cour of Re:ZERO Season 4, succeeding the 11-episode “The Loss Arc” that began on April 8. The synopsis for “The Loss Arc” reads:
In the deadly battle at the Watergate City of Priestella, Subaru and his allies barely emerged victorious—but their triumph came at a great cost.
Through the “Authority of Gluttony,” Rem remains in an unending sleep, while Crusch’s memories and even Julius’s name were devoured.
As he searches for a way to save them, Subaru learns of the “wise man” Shaula—an all-seeing being said to possess every form of knowledge.
His next destination is the Pleiades Watchtower, home to a wise man, the farthest tower standing in the vast, uncharted desert known as the Auguria Dunes—a place so perilous that even the mightiest “Sword Saint,” Reinhard, failed to conquer it.
The fury of nature, unknown mabeasts, and unimaginable dangers lie ahead.
Together with his friends, Subaru embarks on a life-risking journey to reclaim what was lost.
Re:ZERO adapts the isekai light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichiro Otsuka. The premise sees shut-in teenager Natsuki Subaru getting transported to a fantasy world, where he has to overcome various threats with his new upon-death time loop ability. The first three seasons premiered in 2016, 2020, and 2024, with the latter two having split cours.
The light novel series, which has a manga adaptation, are published under the MF Bunko J label associated with KADOKAWA’s Media Factory brand, and is available in English from Yen Press. It began in 2014 and has 45 main volumes as of June 2026. The story started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel.
