“#Rob Stone calls ‘Ginger Assassin’ Anthony Neuer’s 7-10 split”
Anthony Neuer pulled off the rare 7-10 split in his U.S. Open semifinal matchup on Sunday, making Professional Bowlers Association Tour history as just the fourth player to accomplish the feat – and first to do it on television since 1991.
In the seventh frame of his match at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, the “Ginger Assassin,” as Fox Sports play-by-play announcer Rob Stone dubbed him, managed to convert the difficult move and knock both pins down.
Stone went absolutely berserk on the call, screaming, “My goodness! The Ginger Assassin just dropped the 7-10. You bet, kid! You bet!”
“Give me some oxygen and water to spare the game!” Stone continued.
