RTL/TOGGO censors “Dragon Ball Daima”

Censorship scandal at RTL/TOGGO? The new episodes of “Dragon Ball Daima” appear to be subject to image censorship.

“Dragon Ball” fans were looking forward to the premiere of the new series “Dragon Ball Daima” on TOGGO on Friday evening. Since Friday, the new series has been running in German TV premiere and German dubbing every day at around 9:15 p.m. The first downer came during the dubbing: all the characters were recast. But what is much more important is that RTL/TOGGO apparently also censored the series.

According to fans on social media, blatant visual censorship is said to have taken place. So far in episodes 1 and 2, any scenes in which Mr. Popo takes place have simply been cut or edited out. You can hear Mr. Popo speaking, but all graphic scenes where he was seen were replaced by still images.

Completely missing from the German RTL/TOGGO version: Mr. Popo

There is currently no current statement from RTL/TOGGO. But what should already be clear is that RTL/TOGGO hasn’t made any new friends with this intervention in the series.

The series will also be available to stream on RTL+ from the end of September. It is currently unclear whether this will also happen in the censored version. Question marks as far as the eye can see!
