“Run for the Money Game Show Inspires Anime”
The Japanese game show Run for the Money (Run For Money Tousouchuu), which sees contestants being pursued by black suit-wearing Hunters, is inspiring a futuristic anime called Tousouchu: The Great Mission. A teaser trailer and visual have been released for the anime, which is set to premiere in spring 2023.
Toei Animation is producing the anime.
Run for the Money began in 2004 as a Fuji TV special program, with a Netflix reboot released this year. The series has also inspired the 2008 US show Cha$e and China’s Run for Time variety show.
