The Sakamoto Days TV anime has received a new second cour trailer, which includes appearances from Rion Akao and Akira Akao.
M.A.O is voicing Akira, while Mamiko Noto is Rion. Other new cast announcements include Hino Satoshi as Kanaguri and Daiki Yamashita as Mafuyu Seba.
It was also announced that go!go!vanillas‘ “Dandelion” is the ending song for cour 2, and that a special behind-the-scenes episode will premiere on July 7 JST (effectively July 8 at 12 AM JST).
Sakamoto Days is an adaptation of the manga by Yuto Suzuki, which began in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has 22 tankoubon volumes as of June 2025. Viz Media describes the premise as:
Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
The anime’s first cour premiere in January. The show is available worldwide via Netflix, which releases new episodes weekly.
