The second season of the Sakamoto Days TV anime will begin airing in January 2027. A teaser trailer and teaser visual for the show were also released.
Additionally, there are new cast announcements: Toya Kikunosuke as Amane, Misa Watanabe as Satoda, and Shinshu Fuji as Yotsumura.
Sakamoto Days adapts the manga by Yuto Suzuki. Viz Media describes the manga’s synopsis as such:
Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
The first season of the anime premiered in January, with its second cour following in July. Netflix streamed the show.
The manga began in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and will get its 28th volume on August 4, 2026. It has also inspired a live-action movie, which began screening in Japan on April 29, 2026.
