Witch house pioneers SALEM have put some new music on YouTube, as Stereogum notes. First, they’ve uploaded STAY DOWN, which is a mix that they premiered on NTS Radio back in May. Near the top of the mix is “CAPULETS (LEAK),” which the group has excerpted. Hear the track and mix below.
“CAPULETS (LEAK)” prominently samples the “Dance of the Knights” movement of Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet ballet. SALEM released one official album, King Night, back in September 2010.
SALEM resurfaced briefly in 2016, remixing “Make It Up as You Go Along” by photographer and producer Wolfgang Tillmans. Two years later, the group collaborated with Supreme.
