#Sorcerous Stabber Orphen Releases Main Visual for Sanctuary Arc

A main visual has been released for the upcoming “Sanctuary Arc” of Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, which begins on April 12.

The new arc and cour serves as the follow-up to Sorcerous Stabber Orphen -Chaos in Urbanrama-, which began airing in January.

Like the previous cour, the staff for Sorcerous Stabber Orphen‘s “Sanctuary Arc” includes:

• Director: Takayuki Hamana 

• Series composer: Kenji Konuta 

• Character designers: Youko Kikuchi and Rio

• Animation production company: Studio DEEN 

Meanwhile, the main cast of the anime includes Shoutarou Morikubo as Orphen, Rumi Ookubou as Claiomh Everlasting, Yuusuke Kobayashi as Majic Lin, Marie Mizuno as Volkan, and Mai Fuchigami as Dortin. 

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen -Chaos in Urbanrama- was made to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Sorcerous Stabber Orphen light novel series, which was written by Yoshinobu Akita and illustrated by Yuuya Kusaka. The anime is also the sequel to 2020’s Sorcerous Stabber Orphen and 2021’s Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: Battle of Kimluck. 

The original book series, which includes many short story collections, was first published by Fujimi Shobo and ended in 2003. A new series published by TO Books began in 2011. 

J Novel Club describes the original series, titled Sorcerous Stabber Orphen: The Wayward Journey, as:

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen initially inspired two J.C.STAFF-produced anime series in the late 90s. The light novels have also inspired multiple manga.
