#Space Battleship Yamato 2205’s 2nd Part Gets New Trailer

The second part of the Space Battleship Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi movie duology, STASHA, has received a new 40-second trailer. It is set to premiere in Japan on February 4, 2022.

The first part, TAKE OFF, premiered on October 8, 2021.

Space Battleship Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi is the latest entry in the Space Battleship Yamato remake series that began with 2013’s Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199.  The first sequel to Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 was the Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202 film series that began in 2017. A special film compilation of Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Space Battleship Yamato 2202 premiered on June 11, 2021.

The original series aired from 1974 to 1975 and spawned various follow-ups of its own.

The staff of Space Battleship Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi includes Kenji Yasuda (Somali and the Forest Spirit) as director, Harutoshi Fukui (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202) as series composer, Fukui and Hideki Oka (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202) as scriptwriters, and Nobuteru Yuuki (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202) as character designer.

Other staff include Hiroshi Gouroku (My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission co-art director), Yuusuke Ikeda (7SEEDS), and Kenichi Shirofushi (DRIFTERS) as art directors; Kumiko Nakayama (Stars Align) as color designer; Shinya Matsui (Fate/Grand Order Final Singularity – Grand Temple of Time: Solomon co-photography director) as photography director; and Akira Miyagawa (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202) and Hiroshi Miyagawa (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202) as music composers.

Jun`ichirou Tamamori (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202), Yasushi Ishizu (Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202), and Mika Akitaka (Sing a Bit of Harmony) are the film’s mecha designers, while Chizuru Kobayashi (Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne co-character designer), Takahiro Kishida (Kageki Shoujo!! character designer), and Kiyoshi Tateishi (Val × Love character designer) are guest character designers. Satelight is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Daisuke Ono as Susumu Kodai, Houko Kuwashima as Yuki Mori, and Kouichi Yamadera as Abelt Dessler.
