MAGES. has delayed STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT from its previously planned 2025 release window to 2026 in Japan, as well as released the first look at the game’s upgraded graphics, which are still in development. Release platforms remain unannounced.

Here are the latest details:

Character Design

The characters of STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT have been renewed by character designer huke. Their outfits and accessories have also been redesigned, with detailed depictions that make their presence feel even more lively.

Backgrounds

The background graphics, using reference materials from the time, depict Akihabara circa 2010 in such detail that they can even be mistaken for actual photographs. Additionally, locations that did not appear in the original STEINS;GATE have been newly added to further enrich the story.

Event Stills

Event stills, all of which have been newly recreated from storyboards, depict the story more closely and more dramatically. Scenes not depicted in the original STEINS;GATE have been added, further enhancing the sense of immersion.
