With players from the NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL and the WNBA standing up for what’s right, the 2-12 New York Liberty decided to walk out of their latest practice because … well … what’s the sense.

As good as the Twins have been, they find themselves in a three-way battle with the Indians and the suddenly competitive White Sox at the top of the AL Central. Minnesota is in Detroit and Randy Dobnak (5-1, 1.78 ERA) is looking for his sixth straight win. Dobnak doesn’t dominate … he just wins, baby. We had Randy last time, when he allowed two runs to the Royals. The Tigers counter with Matthew Boyd (0-4, 8.48 ERA). Boyd hasn’t been terrible … he just loses. Pitched well in defeat in his last start, permitting the potent Indians to score twice over 5 ¹/₃ innings. And Boyd’s 33 K’s more than double Dobnak’s 16. Biting on the Twinkies again for 20 units.

Stress-free Friday. Indians got 20 hits and routed the Cards 14-2. Franmil Reyes’ 3-run homer in the 1st inning off Daniel Ponce de Leon all that was needed. Win has us at -682 larrydobys.
