Resident Evil is Now a Part of Fortnite
As the spooky season comes into a full blow, Fortnite has some exciting news for its fans, and it has to do with Resident Evil. Along with the book of ra, Resident Evil is one of our all-time favorite titles. Now, the Fortnite and Resident Evil universes have come together to present you with a super fun venture. The cooperative move of the two franchises resulted in incredibly cool new skin choices that fans will now be able to enjoy. If you are looking for something to spice up your multiplayer experience during the fall season, this will definitely be it. We are here to tell you all about it.
Get Your Goosebumps Going with Two New Horror Characters
Remember Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine? Now you will be able to play as these two beloved characters while you run rampage on the battlefield. Thematically, it is a nice follow-up to the skin of Rick Grimes character, as featured in the TV series The Walking Dead. Fortnite is surely embracing the mood of the dark season, and we love it. The two Resident Evil characters were introduced into the Fortnite world with an intense trailer that will get your heart racing and pumped for getting spooky. While we do not want to spoil much from the clip, know that Chris and Jill are here to save the day. That’s hardly a surprise, but regardless, the visual appeal of the new skins is what sells them at first glance.
Speaking of selling, you will have to buy the skins for your V-bucks. If you want to buy each of them separately, shell out 1,500. Alternatively, you can opt for the S.T.A.R.S extended team bundle, which will get you both skins for a mere 2,100 V-bucks. Each of the two characters also has an alternative skin you can swap to. For Chris, you get a sleek Hound Wolf Squad apparel. As for Jill, she rocks a Racoon City fit as her second skin choice, and it looks magnificent on her. The new S.T.A.R.S package offers a little more than just skins. It also includes a herb that you can wear on the back of your character, which comes in the colors blue, green, or red. The cherry on top is a sweet Resident Evil x Fortnite-themed loading screen.
Can’t get enough of this collab? Good news, there is even more to get involved with. For the hardcore fans, Fortnite presented an additional S.T.A.R.S boon, the Team Gear pack, which features two cool new pickaxes. One is the Hot Dogger, and the other is a pretty cool stun rod. The Hot Dogger is something akin to an energy knife, and it is a sleek thing to have if you want to flex in your matches.

Fortnite and Pop Culture
Fortnite is one of the rarer games that has been adding so many references from pop culture. The licensed content is something we haven’t seen at such a scale, pretty much anywhere. You’ve got Diplo DJing events in the game, Young Thug doing rap shows, on top of new Dune characters being added, and now Resident Evil makes an appearance. Fortnite is becoming quite the showcasing platform of all things trendy. However, whether you love it or hate it, it makes a lot of fun on the battleground.
All in all, we are super excited about the Resident Evil x Fortnite collab. You can guess what we will be splurging our V-bucks on. What about you? Do you enjoy the amount of licensed content that Fortnite has been adding? What do you think of the two new skins of Chris and Jill? We would love to get your opinions down below!
