A main trailer and key visual have been released for upcoming original anime Vertex Force, which now has an October 3 broadcast start date. The visual features the tagline, “The summer break to safeguard Earth begins.”
It was also revealed that the show stars Makoto Koichi as 13-year-old Akira Todo and Kaede Hondo as Akira’s older sister Haruka, who has been the focus of the promotional material. The other announced members of the voice cast are Ami Koshimizu as Eleanor Northbrook, Megumi Han as Lala Zudensteir, and Rie Takahashi as Yoko Nishina.
According to the synopsis, the Todo family has a secret, which involves Haruka inheriting a power called “Engine” from her father. While Akira harbors feelings of insecurity, an unknown enemy makes an appearance, and the fate of the universe hangs in the balance.
Strike Witch‘s Kazuhiro Takamura is directing Vertex Force, which is produced by SMDE and features “cute girls” and “mechanical” elements. Takamura is also one of the series composers alongside Masashi Suzuki (Plunderer).
