Yuck have broken up, the band announced today (February 15). The group’s dissolution coincides with the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. See the group’s full statement below.
Yuck earned acclaim for their approach to scrappy, guitar-driven songs, which hearkened back to the early sound of indie rock in the 1990s. They followed 2011’s Yuck with Glow & Behold two years later and an EP, Southern Skies, in 2014. The band’s final album was 2016’s Stranger Things. Daniel Blumberg, who fronted the band until 2013, issued a new album titled On&On last year.
