How to check whether the parking is readily available in any area using Google Maps

Most often, you have faced the issue where you are unable to find parking for your car at a location. Well, this is a very common problem when you head to a market or an unknown place where you are not sure where to park your car. So, if you’ve been into a situation when you were unable to find parking then, this Google Maps feature will help you ensure that whether the parking is easily available in that location where you are planning to go or not.

Sounds interesting, right? So, if you want to know, follow our step-by-step guide:

Before proceeding with the steps, keep in mind that Maps does not tell you exactly where the parking is currently available, it just suggests that at this location, the parking is a tuff task to find.

  • Latest version of Google Maps
  • Location services must be active
  • Working internet connectivity

Steps to follow:

First, open your Google Maps and enter the destination

Now, tap on the ‘Direction’ button from the bottom

Slide up the bottom bar where you see the ‘Start’ button

There will be a ‘P’ symbol stating ‘Parking is usually not easy near this destination’

Basically, all you are supposed to do is to enter the destination address and start the Navigation by tapping on the ‘Direction’ button. Once the directions page is open showing your current location and the destination along with the estimated time and traffic details, tap in the bottom charm to expand it.

Now, here you’ll have to see a ‘P’ logo in a circle stating the parking condition of that location.
