P.A.WORKS‘ Original TV Anime Appare-Ranman! Announces April 2020 Premiere, Main VAs
Acclaimed anime production studio P.A.WORKS‘ forthcoming original TV anime Appare-Ranman! is confirmed to premiere in Japan in April 2020. The anime’s official website also announces its six main voice cast including its two protagonists: Natsuki Hanae as Appare Sorano and Seiichiro Yamashita as Kosame Isshiki.
Main voice cast:
- Appare Sorano: Natsuki Hanae (Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul)
- Kosame Isshiki: Seiichiro Yamasahita (James Moriarty in Case File nº221: Kabukicho)
- Hototo: Aoi Yuki (Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
- Jin Schalen: Sora Amamiya (Aqua in KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!)
- Al Reon: Souma Saito (Hermes in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?)
- Sophia Taylor: Fumiko Orikasa (Rukia Kuchiki in Bleach)

The story of Appare-Ranman! is set in the era when the 20th century is about o begin. It follows two Japanese men who were drifted from Japan to America due to an accident, an engineer Appare Sorano and a samurai Kosame Isshiki. They decide to participate in a „Trans-American Footrace“ to go back to Japan.
Masakazu Hashimoto, best known for his directorial works for the Crayon Shin-chan films from 2013 to 2019, provides an original story for the anime and also serves as director/series composition writer.
